Bio: Federico Sada, president and CEO of Grupo Vitro and member of the board of directors, also serves as chairman of the Mexican Council for Foreign Trade (COMCE), chairman of trustees of the National Museum of History (Chapultepec Castle), chairman of trustees of Parque Ecológico Chipinque, member of the boards of (BANCOMEXT) The National Bank for Foreign Trade, Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), Regio Empresas, ALPEK (a subsidiary of Grupo ALFA), University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and the Institute for Educational Investigation and Improvement. Mr. Sada is also a member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development based in Geneva, Switzerland, and of the Council of Entrepreneurial Coordination (CCE) in Mexico.
Mr. Sada joined Vitro in 1974. He became planning and finance director of the Glass Containers Division in 1978. In 1985, he was named president of North America Glass Containers, the largest single business of the company. This business included the operations of Glass Containers in Mexico, and the investments of Grupo Vitro in North, Central and South America.
On January 1, 1995 Mr. Sada was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Grupo Vitro.

Federico Sada is an Honorary Fellow of the Academy of International Business as the recipient of the 2002 AIB Fellows International Executive of the Year Award.
