Bio: Grazia D. Santangelo (Ph.D Reading University) is Professor of Strategic and International Management at Copenhagen Business School. Recognized as a leading expert, her research lies at the intersection of international business, global strategy, and innovation management. Her work focuses on the strategic management of intangibles—such as knowledge and reputation—across borders, and her latest studies examine how multinational enterprises navigate the complexities of geopolitics and address grand challenges. Her research has been widely recognized and published in leading journals, including the Journal of International Business Studies, Global Strategy Journal, Journal of Economic Geography, Journal of World Business, Organization Science, Research Policy, and Regional Science.
She is a Sonoco Visiting Fellow in International Business at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina. Before joining Copenhagen Business School, she held a Jean Monnet Chair in International Business for European Union at the University of Catania, Italy, funded by the European Commission.
Professor Santangelo currently serves as co-editor of Global Strategy Journal. Previously, she served as Reviewing Editor for the Journal of International Business Studies and as an Associate Editor for the Journal of International Management and Industry and Innovation. She is also a member of the Editorial Review Boards of Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of World Business and Long Range Planning, among others.
She is a Fellow of both the Academy of International Business and the European International Business Academy (EIBA). She is also an elected member of the Executive Committee of the Academy of Management International Management (IM) Division. Her service record includes roles as Chair of the IM Division’s Research Committee, representative-at-large for the Global Strategy Interest Group of the Strategic Management Society, and former President of EIBA.
