Bio: John D. Daniels is the Samuel N. Friedland Chair Emeritus at the University of Miami. Previously he held the E. Claiborne Robins Chair at the University of Richmond and was Director of the CIBER at Indiana University. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Miami, and MBA from the Universidad de las Americas, and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. He also holds an honorary doctorate from UPAO in Peru.
Within AIB, he served as President and Dean of the Fellows as well as being a dissertation and JIBS decade winner. He is the former Chair of the International Division of the Academy of Management, which named him educator of the year. He has served on the editorial board of over a dozen journals.
He has published fifteen books, of which his co-authored textbook, International Business: Environments and Operations, will soon be published in its 16th edition. His more than 100 articles and papers have appeared in leading journals.
He has worked and lived a year or longer in seven different countries, worked shorter stints in more than thirty others on six continents, and has traveled in many more. His foreign work experience has been a combination of private sector, governmental, teaching, and research assignments.
