Theme: Global Trade and South Asia: Competitiveness, Value Chains and ESG

Overview: This conference provides AIB members in the southern Asia region (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka) opportunities to exchange ideas, present their research, and create professional contacts. The WTO Chairs Programme, along with their partner institute, the Kathmandu University School of Management, are glad to host this event.
The conference theme addresses geopolitical tensions in a post-pandemic world and the fast-evolving digital technologies that have started altering the trade landscape across the globe. South Asian economies, irrespective of size and economic status have also started realigning to adapt to the landscape. This theme gives a wider canvas for the researchers, academicians, trade facilitator,s and firms to discuss the emerging and contemporary issues in global trade. It gives an appropriate platform for the researchers to present their ideas on trade competitiveness in south Asia and to get rich input from the distinguished delegates in the conference.
