Theme: The Future of Global Mobility
Submission Deadline: December 15, 2019
Overview: An increasing number of organizations and people cross borders. The UN estimates the number of immigrants at around 250 million people, while other statistics report around 60 million expatriates, i.e. highly skilled individuals working abroad. Organizations and individuals can obtain tremendous benefits from relocation, e.g. learning and innovation, increased performance, career opportunities.
On the other hand, expatriation is costly and difficult. Thus, substantial research has investigated the antecedents and outcomes of expatriation. While this line of research has revealed important insights, a lot is not known yet and deserves further attention.
This workshop will gather great minds to discuss and shape the future of global mobility research. We particularly invite established and junior researchers from various disciplines to join the debate.
