Theme: Global Value Chains and the Commonwealth
Overview: The overarching aim of this symposium is to discuss the impact of Commonwealth countries on re-configuration of Global Value Chains (GVCs) in a post-Brexit scenario.
This event is supported by the Academy of International Business (AIB) and the Commonwealth Secretariat. It provides a research agenda to the AIB community, with a special focus on policy-related topics and forming a network of scholars interested in this contemporary theme.
The symposium will start with an inaugural talk by Professor Sarianna Lundan, Editor-in-Chief, Journal of International Business Policy, on ‘Global Governance and Global Value Chains’ and a networking reception at the University House, University of Leeds. Day two of the symposium will feature a keynote speech by Lord Howell of Guildford, President of the Royal Commonwealth Society, and three panel discussions.
