  • Submission Deadline: March 2, 2020
  • PDW Organizer: Ajai Gaur, Rutgers University
  • Contact Info: JWB@business.rutgers.edu

Who is This Event For?

The purpose of the PDW is to provide developmental feedback to scholars and doctoral students on research projects that are at relatively advanced stages of development and encourage them to develop quality research papers on issues that are of relevance to JMS, JWB, and other high-quality management and international business journal outlets.

How is This Event Structured?

The workshop will be led by the Journal of Management Studies and Journal of World Business editors: Jonathan Doh and Ajai Gaur, along with other senior editors and established scholars from JMS’s and JWB’s editorial teams. The workshop will include presentations on publishing strategies and techniques and in-depth feedback on selected papers

The PDW will be structured to provide extensive feedback to authors whose research papers have been accepted by the workshop organizers. Only a limited number of manuscripts will be accepted for the PDW. Participants will be invited based on the quality and potential intellectual contribution of their submitted work.

How Can I Submit a Paper?

We encourage authors to submit their original work under two categories: full-length papers (maximum of 10,000 words) and “idea” papers (maximum of 2,000 words). Papers previously submitted to JMS, JWB, or other journals, that were not successful in the review process, are welcome for the PDW. We can accommodate up to about 20 papers for this event. Please submit your papers through the AIB submission system.

The deadline for submissions is March 2, 2020.  Each applicant can submit only one paper, but you may submit the same (or another) version of the paper for presentation at the AIB 2020 Conference.  Please submit a single document, including a cover page with the author names, emails, and affiliations.

What Should I Do if My Paper is Accepted?

Submitting authors will be notified of the results of the review process and will need to confirm their participation in the PDW by March 15, 2020.

Please note that authors will need to register for the AIB conference in order to participate in the JMS/JWB PDW.
