AIB 2020 features a wider variety of pre-conference workshops than ever before—a perfect way to build your professional skillset and network with likeminded scholars. Keep in mind, these sessions are limited capacity, so a separate pre-registration is required to participate.
Watch 50 panel sessions at their scheduled time and interact with the panelists by asking questions. If you miss the live event, you can still access a recordings of all our AIB 2020 panels. They will be posted within a few hours of the session’s conclusion and you can watch them at any time during the month of July.
Watch over 500 pre-recorded paper presentations and share your questions and comments. More than 300 of these papers’ authors will also be available during our Live Author Showcase session, allowing them to interact with other conference attendees, dig more deeply into their research, and answer any follow-up questions.

For an even more detailed view into their offerings, you can also schedule one-on-one meetings and attend dedicated demo sessions.
These 50-minute sessions are an opportunity to learn about a journal’s philosophy and priorities, how to avoid common mistakes made by submitting authors, and increase your chances of getting a paper accepted. There are 30 to choose from, but keep in mind that pre-registration is required to participate.
These 50-minute roundtable discussions are an opportunity to exchange ideas with one of our leading scholars, as well as your fellow AIB members, on a topic of mutual interest. Fellows Cafés are scheduled throughout the pre-conference and conference dates, so find an option that fits your schedule and pre-register.
Whether you’re looking to learn brand new methods or brush up on current best practices, these methods clinics are a perfect way to build up your research repertoire. There are fifteen options to choose from, each facilitated by an expert IB scholar. These clinics are free to all AIB 2020 attendees, but pre-registration is required.

Our conference platform includes a dedicated Meeting Hub where participants can invite others to connect, have live chat sessions, schedule one-on-one video conferences, and much more. Leaders and members from our regional chapters and Shared Interest Groups will have designated networking sessions throughout the conference, so stop in, introduce yourself, and start building your IB community.
Teaching Cafés provide an opportunity to expand your IB education skillset. Each day, these 50-minute sessions cover a different topic, facilitated by an established academic expert. These Cafés were organized and curated by AIB’s Teaching and Education Shared Interest Group (SIG).
