Why Take This Tour? Learn about one of the most tragic and inspiring moments in the history of Warsaw. On the 1st of August 1944 the Warsaw Uprising broke out. The population’s heroic fight against Nazi occupying forces lasted for 63 days. Highlights of the Warsaw Uprising Museum tour include a replica of the Liberator Bomber, a gallery of photographs taken during the uprising, and testimonies from the fighters who took part in this historic struggle. The tour also includes an up-close look at the Warsaw Uprising Monument.

What Will I See on This Tour? Follow the steps of young Frederic Chopin in Warsaw. He was a prodigy who started to play piano at the age of four and compose at the age of seven. Find out where he gave his first public concert and where he played organ as a student. Visit the neighborhood where he was living before he left Poland forever and discover how the Holy Cross Church became a resting place for his heart. Look for the ‘musical benches’ which mark places related to Chopin and play samples of his most famous works. Stop in the Royal Łazienki park to see the impressive monument dedicated to the great composer. A weeping willow behind his figure symbolizes his connection with the local music of the Mazovia region. What Will I See on This Tour? Visit the Museum of the History of Polish Jews to discover the heritage of the Jewish Community in Poland. Follow the modern exhibitions to learn about 1,000 years of Jewish life and culture in Poland. In one of the galleries, you can walk along a street with a pre-war cinema and cafe. You can also see a reconstructed bimah and ceiling of a synagogue from that period. Learn about the tragic moments of World War II and about life in Warsaw’s Jewish ghetto.
