Conference Venue: International Elegance Meets Southern Charm

Exterior of the Omni Louisville HotelAIB 2025’s primary venue and lodging provider will be the Omni Louisville Hotel. Founded in 2018, this luxurious 4-star hotel is designed to showcase several elements of Louisville’s unique culture. Its in-house shopping amenities specialize in bourbon tastings and custom hat-making, evocative of the famous “fascinators” worn by Kentucky Derby attendees.

Amenities at the Omni Louisville include free access to the rooftop pool and hot tub, fitness center, and Wi-Fi network. A variety of spa and salon services are also available for advance booking.

Situated in the core of downtown Louisville, it is also within easy walking distance of a number of the city’s signature sights, including the Frazier History Museum, Belle of Louisville Riverboat Cruises, Muhammad Ali Center, and the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory. A more extensive list of nearby attractions, dining options, and shopping areas can be found on the venue’s website.

Louisville’s premier entertainment and retail district, Fourth Street Live!, is just a block away for those seeking a fun, casual outing. This area regularly hosts live musical performances from local artists as well as interactive cultural events, a full calendar of which can be found on their website. For the more adventurous, artistic set, the NuLu (“New Louisville”) neighborhood is just over a mile away, featuring a variety of contemporary dining options and hip, boutique businesses.

Lodging Rates: Affordable Comfort, Easily Shared

There are many perks to reserving your room at our official AIB 2025 hotel, including convenient access to all our academic programming, organic networking opportunities with AIB colleagues in the Omni’s many bar and lounge areas, and, most importantly, ultra-affordable, member-exclusive room rates.

Compare the four-star accommodation prices listed below with those you’d pay at a conference hosted in a larger global city. Then consider that you can split those rooms and their associated costs with up to three other Annual Meeting attendees. This all translates into a uniquely budget-friendly opportunity to present your work at the premier global IB conference. Visit the Omni’s website for more information on the amenities that will be included in your reservation and take a virtual tour of both the Deluxe and Premier Rooms.

Whether you’re a graduate student with limited funding or a cost-conscious faculty member, you will definitely want to take advantage of our special rates. To do so, you must make your reservation using our online portal.

Travel: An Eminently Accessible International Airport

Another benefit to hosting our Annual Meeting in a city the size of Louisville is the ease of access between its international airport and our downtown conference venue. The Omni Louisville Hotel is just a short, 10-minute taxi ride (approx. 5.9 miles) from the Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF), making this final leg of your journey about as stress-free as possible.

Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are accessible just outside the baggage claim area. Limo and shuttle van services can also be booked in advance—a list of local providers can be found on the National Airport Database. Those who prefer to travel by bus should consult the Transit Authority of River City (TARC) website for a comprehensive overview of schedules and pick-up locations.
