Masterclass A: Pursuing Scholarly Research in International Marketing: An Effective Research Strategy

Facilitator: Costas Katsikeas is the Arnold Ziff Research Chair and Professor of Marketing and International Management, University of Leeds, UK. He is a former Vice President of the Academy of Marketing Science and former Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Marketing.
Event Overview: Professor Katsikeas will explain an effective strategy for publishing research in international business, including a focus on identifying consequential research topics, theoretical framing, collaboration, and writing strategically for publication.
Masterclass B: Writing, Refining, and Submitting Research in Top Journals: Tactical Guidance

Facilitator: Kelly Hewett is Professor of Marketing, Reagan Professor of Business, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA. She is the former Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Marketing. Previously she was Senior Vice President for Marketing at Bank of America. She has published extensively in the leading marketing and international marketing journals.
Event Overview: Professor Hewett will highlight important tactics for publishing in top journals, including framing the research question, study design, acquiring appropriate data, aligning the research with theory, and developing impactful theoretical and managerial implications.
