The goal of this webinar is to demystify the process of writing a high-impact paper. The authors explain their original idea; the editor who handled their submission reflects on the review process; and the JIBS reviewing editor reflects on the generalizability of the takeaways provided by the authors and handling editor.
In the 49th AIB UK & Ireland Chapter Conference we provide a scholarly platform to interrogate the complex relationship between international business (IB) and society, in particular around Sustainable Development Goal 8. In tradition with previous chapter conferences, we invite general IB papers and contributions which speak to the specific conference theme.
Each of our AIB Journal Webinars is focused around a unique line of inquiry, with authors of recently published articles in JIBS, JIBP, and AIB Insights speaking to how their research addresses that core question. Virtual attendees will have an opportunity to interact with our presenters, digging deeper into the issues that interest them most.
Strong introductions and discussions are essential to effective scholarly writing. Yet scholars do not always recognize their importance or pay less attention to them than they merit, thus jeopardizing article publication and visibility in high-impact journals. In this seminar, we will discuss the writing of an effective introduction and discussion section and apply some of the key lessons.
The AIB Fellows' Annual Business Meeting provides our distinguished scholars with an opportunity to review their support of AIB programming over the past year and to begin planning for the future. It also includes an induction ceremony and special meet-and-greet breakout sessions as a means of welcoming our newly elected Fellows.
This AIB special theme conference is organized through the cooperation among AIB Asia Pacific Chapter, University of Nottingham Ningbo China, East China University of Science and Technology, and the University of San Francisco. It follows the pattern of the annual international business conference which East China University of Science and Technology, and the University of San Francisco have been co-organizing since 2016.
The Academy of International Business (AIB) holds annual meetings each summer (June-July) in various pre-determined locations around the world. Each conference features a combination of plenaries, panels, and papers. All papers presented at AIB conferences go through a double-blind review process. The abstracts of the presented papers are published as a conference proceedings.
