What is the Purpose of This Program?

We are excited to announce a collaborative conference series: Frontiers in International Business. Working in collaboration with the University of South Carolina, Northeastern University, Villanova University, and University of Groningen, this year’s Frontiers in IB Conference will be held 20 – 22 October in Charleston, South Carolina, USA. Event programming will be organized around the common theme, “Multinational Companies and Sustainability in Global Supply Chains”.

The purpose of this conference series is two-fold:

  1. To explore thought-provoking core issues in IB through an interdisciplinary lens, creating a venue where scholars can engage in innovative discussions and problem-solving.
  2. To engage thought leaders from beyond the AIB community – disciplinary-based scholars and practitioners – in order to push the boundaries of existing paradigms and expand our creative horizons.

How Can I Participate?

To ensure a vigorous discussion with novel ideas and insights, we seek participation from both leading scholars as well as colleagues who are newer to these areas of research. We encourage multidisciplinary submissions as well as manuscripts that are in different stages of development. If interested, please submit a max. 7-page (single spaced) proposal or extended abstract of your paper through our online submission portal in the period of 1 – 20 July, 2022. The conference will be limited to about 16-20 presentations and 40 participants.

You must have an active AIB membership in order to register for this event. If you are not a current AIB member or your membership is set to expire before 22 October 2022, please purchase or renew before using our conference registration form. Online registration for this event opens 11 August and will be available through 31 August.
